help!

question for anyone, but specifically gnimmel and purplepiano:

i need to get from Bedford to Bromham, 4 miles north of Bedford (specifically the lovely scout campsite), with me, niceandfluffy, her husband and olinima and a big pile of tents and LARP kit.

we're going to an event from July 23-25th.

would any good taxi company take us? would they have a vehicle with enough room for tents and stuff?

is there any other way to get there?

There are usually lots of taxis at the station and I'm sure I've seen some minibus-style ones with lots of space there too. We've not used the taxis in Bedford, though. I can have a look in the local phone book when I get home and post some numbers.

Bromham is really quite near, but that's not much use when you have luggage.

There's always London-style black cabs hanging around outside the station, which might be big enough.
