usually each february (as it's the shortest month) i do something to challenge my willpower and the like.

this year i have decided to be vegan during february. i am aware this will cause inconvenience to other people, but we will cope somehow.

going to play BG now to (try to) catch up with evil evil [livejournal.com profile] olinima. then watch Life of Mammals and have a shower and go to bed quite early.
Mood:: 'determined' determined
Music:: ooooh Dar Williams - February

thank you. i am also going through my vegan recipe book to find yummy sounding things. and my mum is on an 'eat more pulses' drive at the moment. i don't think it will be too hard. unless people eat pizza in front of me.

Woah.

What a kickass idea. Not just the vegan thing (which is also spiffay-- good luck with that *snuggle*), but the idea to try something difficult in February. ^_^ W00t.

BG

Why do you need to catch up with Olimina? Where are yo up to? Is this BG2 I presume - grr! I'm onto cloakwood now in BG1 having killed all the (scary!) bassilisks in the area far east of Beregost.

After much thought last night I have replaced Imoen in my party with Coran who is much better at virtually everything, except that Imoen is *very* fanciable. Imoen did tend to get injured lots which can't have been fun for her. Coran can wear excessively good armour to protect him and has a +++ rating for archery whereas Imoen only has one + and can only use a short bow. We shall see.

i need to catch up because, well, i just need to! and actually it's BG1. which i've not finished yet. despite starting a multiplayer BG2 and also buying Icewind Dale specifically to multiply with her this weekend.

oh! poor Immy. i feel kind of responsible for her cos of Gorion you know... that's why i keep Khalid and Jaheira too. (other people are Minsc and Dynaheir.)

i did start a new game as an evil cleric with the intention of collecting evil NPCs. but things are harder when you're evil. i also started a game as a paladin and want to collect other good npcs that at present i don't have. like kivan and branwen.

you can get a potion (or use a spell) to stop you being petrified by basilisks.

we must multiplay!! yes yes. but eep. busyness.

Yes, I got a spell to resist petrification *after* I'd got rid of them - hmmm. But anyway Dynaheir tends to prefer to fill her spell slots up with big juicy red spells for attacking people - hmmm. There is a statue of someone called Tamah there too - I need to find a stone to flesh scroll/spell to depetrify her. Why do I never have things I need when I need them? Hmmm.

Multiplayer is definitely the way forward. We could try it with the computer/network setup as I have it at the moment but this machine is slow even in single player but maybe it would be ok I don't know. Otherwise I should probably wait until I've uprgaded these computers I think. Excuses excuses honestly! I've got all the bits now, I just need to take them both apart and rebuild them then reinstall everything. Why can't the computers put themselves together and reinstall their own software automatically? Oh well - it will be a fun project for me. Toys toys toys!! Faster faster faster (well a little bit faster anyway)

I hope Imoen will be ok just standing there in the forest on her own. Will she stay there for ever or will she disappear after a while? Poor Imoen - I feel really bad.

Wow! There really are a lot of Hmmmms in that first paragraph!

Hmmmmm!

hmmm, it may be better to wait for computer upgrades as even when Mandy and i play and we both have fast computers it can be rather slow.

awww poor Immy again. i was saddest about having to lose Kivan and leave him in the gnoll stonghold! wah, i hope he's ok, but he's a ranger so i'm sure he'll be just fine.
