Sunday 15th September
woke up just after 11am with a headache. and a really quick pulse. that was freaky. i could feel my heart beating in my chest. but luckily it calmed down after a while. but it was freaky. went for soba with Gav, Luke and Dan. yummy. i had sansai soba - noodles with mountain vegetables (of which the only recognisable ones were mushrooms).
more festival goodness. had some little sweet dough ball things. looked at the crazy stalls selling bouncy balls, inflatable pikmin, chocobananas, fish on sticks, squid on sticks, syrupy ice, rice on sticks, octopus balls, toffee apples, sticky candy, candyfloss, more fish...went back to Dan's to meet more JETs. Becca, who is canadian and very crazy just scared me. Rie had come up, and Madoka (a japanese english assistant). then we went to the station to meet more - Hiro and JP.
we all wandered about watching everything. we met Satsuki, a student of Gavin's, and her friend Michiko. they are 16 and so kawaii. their english is pretty good too! i am going to email Satsuki. took pix. eventually went back to Dan's to sleep.
Monday 16th September
dreamt Gavin's back was growing a scary green fungus thing (along the lines of the scary dream about the maggots and my legs i had a while back) on his back. we had to look on the internet to find out what it was. then i was having an affair with my Da's friend's wife, who seemed to be called Terrie. then there were some biscuits, a crazy old lady and driving lessons.
Becca drove us back to Itako at 9am. toooooo early. so me and Gav went back to bed. then just hung out and went to Rie's for dinner again. and rented Rush Hour 2 and drooled over Zhang Ziyi.
