wow. i've had such a gorgeous weekend. and i still have a whole day left of it!
went to catch the train on friday afternoon and met Claire at the station! she was also going to London so we sat together and chatted and i helped her plan schoolwork for next week. and i got to look through her catalogue of aids for teaching religious education. it was very cool. you can buy a cuddly Sikh doll complete with the 5 Ks!

fluffymark at Highbury&Islington where we proceeded to the pub where he bought me guinness&tia maria. then to the Union Chapel. i don't even know who the support were, but they were quite nice.
but man, it's such a beautiful venue. we were sitting high up in the pews with big stained glass windows and vaulting and oooooh! lovely. and the stage had fairy lights. and HEATHER! is so gorgeous. i have to say i cried through most of the gig. and afterwards i had chest ache. which i get if i'm excited for long periods of time. like i was all tense with bliss. (i know bliss is sometimes relaxing but but but i was overexcited.)
she played practically every song from Storm and some cute old ones. and she is pregnant! and Valley Of Sound is about Jeff Buckley - which i never knew before. Winterblue was so beautiful. oh and Island is always wonderful and Truth And Bone was stunning. ahhhhh.
she did two encores. and singing London Rain when in London is always going to be fun. oh MAN.
i can't explain how Heather makes me feels. but it's something akin to 'refreshed/replenished/alive'.

it's like her voice resonates in some special way an i feel it all through my body. (how cheesy am i.) i think maybe i worried Mark with my incredible floppiness afterwards.
well then i bought him a kebab and we got the train back to his house. which is in Stratford! probably the bit of London i know best. randomly cos i have another friend who lives there. and i freakily named a road near his house which i thought was near my other friend's house but turns out to be nowhere near! very peculiar. i got to sleep on his nice sofabed. and am going to continue in another post as this one is lengthy.
