something is wrong with our work servers. it means i cannot reply to comments by mail, and i can't open new windows. i doubt it's the worm, but who knows...
the female circumcision programme was highly distressing. it actually showed two young girls being 'circumcised' (which is a dumb term because everyone will thing of male circumcision which is usually done on little babies who cannot remember it and very rarely causes complications) and they were screaming and screaming. highly worrying. i must reseach further.
bugger, maybe we do have this worm. i cannot cut & paste either. argh, will have to try to write html! oh the ordeal! ah fuckit, i can't copy and paste the questions i was going to answer. *kicks computer*
anyway, Jacqui - yes i'd love to see photos. Chris - yes i like your hair long, it looks cute. D - hahahhaha your radio sucks ass and mine rules (and i am highly jealous of your Buffy thing).
going to sulk now.

You *definitely* have the blaster worm on your work computer - what you describe is exactly what it did to my computer when I had it.
Sophos are great - they'll give you the right info. You need to get rid of the worm and then restart and then get the necessary patch from microsoft (also linked to by sophos), and then I think restart again. Anyway, if you do that now you'll catch it before it gets any worse, and it won't take nearly as long as you may think it will.
Btw, who is this "H"? I seem to have missed that. hmmm tell all...

she's my sister's friend's sister, and also my brother's ex gf. she works in my department but over the road cos of me being in the lameass office.

Hm. Curious. I should warn you though, that at any time you could get an error message mentioning saying that something beginning with "s" isn't working and will need to be closed, and it will start again. It came and went with mine - but it kept coming back until I got rid of it. And it got worse.
I suppose it's possible that blaster worm has an expiry date or that it just won't come back, but stay alert. Believe me, the IT dudes will *not* object to you getting rid of blaster worm, and Sophos are one of the most respected anti-virus firms in the world...
In any case, it has an increasing number of siblings, and from what I've gathered they all exploit similar Windows-related loopholes. You (or the IT guys) should update the anti-virus software and possibly your firewall.
eep! Don't mean to be alarmist... the blaster worm family just scare me! They knocked out my friend Emily's computer totally last week - I think they wreak more havoc on fast computers running XP. Thank goodness mine is slow and wobbly and running 2000...

And and and? Is she interested? Are you interested? Or is she just a nice friendly person? I am all curious now... :)
I wonder if there's a word for it if you're a woman and you start dating your brother's ex... *grin*
love you!

Ah! sounds like the problem may not be with you because they've already sorted it out! Go your IT blokes. :)

Alternatively, apparently there's a good worm going around killing off the bad worms. So you could have been infected by the friendly worm. :)

I hadn't heard that. It's very clever. :)
