kmazzy at 09:40pm on 03/07/2003this evening my bro and i went on a handyman (and woman) mission to Mum's friend Jan's house. we had a hearty (and lardy) dinner of chips, beans, linda mccartney sausages for me, fish fingers for him and onion rings. oh and some mccain smiley faces too.
then we went to Jan's and spent a couple of hours whacking plaster off a wall with hammers and chisels. i looked like some freaky gypsy with a bandana (actually a hanky Dan lent me in Brum) over my hair and a hanky tied over my face. we got so dusty we had to vacuum each other all over afterwards (which was highly amusing).
then we went and moved a tree stump in the garden and had to saw part of it off. mmmmm odd jobs like that are very pleasing. and Jan gave us a bottle of Pimms for our work, which will be very nice. i have a blister on my finger. and really need a shower but Gus is in it.
mmmm. must go to bed early and read my book (Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood that Dan lent me) so i can start on my two spankynew Barbara Gowdy books.
