The USA is in the middle of their world map. hne i went to the states all their maps were lke that, in atlases, books and even in the background on the TV news. The correct world map is actuall where India etc is roughly in the middle and USA to the right. Cos our map ignores the fact hat Russia and Alaska are joined practically an dth eonly separating ocean is the atlantic!

In most eveery map I've seen, the Atlantic Ocean is in the center, with the Americas on the left and Eurasia/Africa on the right. I think maybe it's centered on the prime meridian, which would make western Europe the center. I don't know... I've always lamented the lack of maps centered on the Pacific Ocean so that I can see how the western Americas and East Asia relate. (I know I could just use a globe, but i still want to see that map)
