grrrrr. now Leza is not speaking to me. ah well. her loss. i will not dwell on it. i have better things to be thinking about. like the impending visit of mirabehn and evil_nick.

we have got all sorts of yummy things planned. and i MUST make them watch The Nightmare Before Christmas and But I'm A Cheerleader. and i am keen to see why Elly is drooling over this Reece Shearsmith chap. hopefully i can keep Nick happy by pointing him at my slightly ailing computer whilst Elly and i are playing with our top trumps. hehe. and i must feed them tasty dinners!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Lucy Lawless was on Graham Norton last night. she's still so fit. i may have to start rewatching Xena episodes. which koozwaa says he'll help me with when he visits next weekend. and possibly olinima. mmmmm so much cuteness - LL, Renee O'Connor, Hudson Leick, Danielle Cormack, the chick who plays Eve, the chick who plays Cyane, the chick who plays Lao Ma, the chick who plays Amarice (tut I'm bad with names), the chick who plays M'Lila and even Claudia Black!

wooo! girls! Tim is still trying to find a cute lesbian for me to go out with. but also it sounds suspiciously like he is suggesting himself to go out with. i will have to find out more about him from Jo. but he has bad spelling! although he has only texted and emailed me so it could just be sloppiness. but hmmmm.

It's a contraction of "a nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse", meaning that if the person you're talking to has no idea what you're going on about, then you can say/do whatever you want and they still won't get it.

As such, it's actually quite inappropriate here, and a more effective phrase would be "a blatant come-on's as good as a subtle hint".

Ahem. I shall now try to stop sounding like such a grammar ponce. Sorry.
