*lol* I love your incredibly apt two-line assessments of all my friends :) (But... ixwin was one of the few people there who *wasn't* cross-dressed... unless I missed something ;)
Oh lor, so the conversation turned to *that* story after I left, did it? And apparently there now exists Bushbose fanart... OMG *chortles*
I'm sorry to disappoint, but I don't think anyone is *ever* going to get to read that story - for one thing, it's dispersed all over Cambridge, London, Rothwell, the Isle of Wight and wherever lost pieces of paper go, and for another, it's *immensely* silly and juvenile and I'm not sure we could even face reading it ourselves. Maybe we will post a snippet or two though. (Catriona?)
FYI, the story was not *about* Bushbose the Ent Dog as such - it was in fact a full-blown sequel to LOTR starring ourselves, and Bushbose was one of our Fellowship. As far as I can remember, the others were:
Gandalf (now a tweed-wearing Cambridge professor) Lalair, a ludicrously camp Wood-Elf, given to singing 'tra-la-la-lally' etc. Hvem, a Dwarf Phred (short for Niphredil) a tomboyish hobbit girl Kate, a fearless human reporter Eleluin, a High Elf, who showed up later after Catriona nixed my idea of having Stephen Fry in the fellowship. :)
