One tip that might help which I learned recently: if you use Ctrl+A (i.e. hold down the Ctrl and the A key at the same time) you select all of the text and you can then copy and paste it as usual. This is more reliable than trying to highlight it and copy and paste it like that, because you avoid the risk of accidentally only copying half of it or something.
