Never heard the Keks phrase before... if I had heard it I wouldn't have had the faintest idea what it means.
And in the "Er reißt die Bäume aus" the "die" is superfluous. It makes the entire phrase sound odd. It should be just "Er reißt Bäume aus".
And in "schräger Vogel" the "schräger" isn't capitalized since it's a adjective.
