miff. where are my Get Up Kids tapes? (well obviously not here at work but...)
hmmm. maybe in the big pile of tapes Robert made for me. i am miffed he is in Poland. visiting him yesterday would have been a very good thing.
oooh - one very good thing, i got a letter from Paul - six sides of A4! wow, i'm so impressed. Robert is the only boy to have written me a longer letter than that. i think i need to get credit for my phone before the weekend or things are going to get stupidly complicated. especially if i want to see Lisa.
anyway, here's
friday
train was a bit late to london, but tube and walk was fine and i arrived at Mark & Catt**'s old house in time to not have pizza with them, and half way through If These Walls Could Talk 2. met
emomisy and watched Sex And The City and went to sleeeeeeeeeeep. had a dream that Tristan had cut off his ponytail and was wandering about feeling his hair where the ponytail wasn't, and whimpering about it. odd.
saturday
pack pack pack and the arrival of
yvesilena who i hardly got to speak to. *sniffs* she went with Mark to fetch the scary van, which was duly loaded with all the main parts of heavy furniture, me and Tristan. and
ixwin arrived too! wooo. when we got to unloading it we discovered the serious flaw in this plan, as while there had been 8 of us loading the van there was now only me and Tristan to unload everything and carry it up one or two flights of steps, since Mark was staying with the van.
so we heaved and hauled for aaaaaaaaages until the van was empty and could be sent back and we could start putting furniture together. we managed to do two beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and a chair by the evening, with only a short tesco trip in between. (i had xmas tree shaped doritos again and got stupidly excited in the Kosher aisle when i discovered the large selection of Rubicon goods - passionfruit juice was duly purchased.)
yvesilena had to go, but we gained, i think a
doseybat - but since no one actually introduced me i can't be sure.
in the evening we went for an amazingly fantabulous meal at the very nearby Thai restuarant. it was very shiny inside, which made me happy. also the fact the serving staff was entirely comprised of lovely Thai ladies... i bounced at Liz for a fair while about these things and bounced even more when i got to eat Tempura and a superbly tasty beancurd dish. and drank Tiger beer and wine. even better is that Catt** paid for it. yay - thank you very much!
i was quite perkily tipsy and we went back to do some more bits and pieces but i mainly walked into door frames. playing Inkubus Sukkubus and having Catt** model a variety of corsets was a much safer idea than putting more furniture together. i read a book about a cat called CreamCake (or something), which is a bit of a pansy name for a boy cat if you ask me.
then Tristan and i went to bed on the nice new sofa bed which is much comfier than the old one.
