EDIT - oooooooooh i think i have Moulin Rouge and an episode of Buffy all mixed up. that quote is def from MR but i have a picture of Spike in my head. so he must be saying something else. does he ever cry over Buffy? hmmmm.

well i had a fantastic weekend!

friday
met [livejournal.com profile] emomisy at Paddington and wandered back to his. had a yummy and cheap chinese then courtesy of his handy brother got in free to see Dawn Of The Dead (the new version).

HOW COOL IS THAT FILM! very very. i love zombie films, and this was just a fab remake. Sarah Polley is really good and Mekhi Phifer is HOT. i quite liked Kevin Zegers too - oooh he is in Wrong Turn! another reason to perve over vested Eliza!!! i think i need to watch Go again too.

saturday
lazed and got up for some lunch. Tristan waved me off at the station and then i met [livejournal.com profile] kookie21 at Liverpool St. after dithering we decided to head to the Aquarium, but due to weather, diversions, lame tube service, queues and indecision we ended up in the Aquarium cafe. i had a very weird possibly cherry flavour slushie type thing. after looking in the shop we decided to hang out in Namco Station!

yay! games. there was dancing, and lameass shooting by me. some good shooting by D and some drumming by D. we stomped on some spiders and with our token won A CHUPA CHUPS LOLLY each. splendid.

then we wandered over Westminster Bridge and had a sneaky Subway (mmmm VeggieMax) on the way to the Savoy to see Pirates Of Penzance. we sat practically in the roof - you could not get higher than our seats! Tony Head was very cool. i survived the singing and dancing and really enjoyed the pirate bits. not so much the girls and the policemen though. but it was all in all a good performance. much jollity and mirth. did not see [livejournal.com profile] taimatsu or [livejournal.com profile] borusa. ah well.

we lingered about by the stage door and yay - Tony came out to sign things and be photographed and chat. i took a photo of him and D (see her journal for this picture) and was having trouble fitting them both in the picture due to my spackiness at photography. so i said "i'm having trouble getting it all in!" and Tony smirked and made a saucy comment. which i forget now, but it was naughty. hehe. he looked very cute in eyeliner. yumyum.

then we got tube back to Upminster and nice nice D drove home to Southend. we petted the kitties, resisted chips, watched tv and went to bed.

sunday
nice lie in. breakfast. and i had a shower. i was slightly perturned that Magic (or Velvet - i mix them up) wanted to be in the bathroom with me. but apparently this is normal for D's cats! also they are very cute kitties. and i could pet them and they didn't make me sick at all. yay medicine.

we decided to go to the SeaLife Centre in Southend. but due to the parking situation, wind and distractions we didn't really have time. we did manage to be in the shop when a terrible downpour occurred though. so instead we played more amusing games to win sweets and things. bought fudge. bought doughnuts and ate them (tut) then bought icecream and ate it (more tut).

i like Southend. but then i like most seaside locations. D drove me back to Upminster for train catching. and i was very very content. quiet. but content. i'm just not a very chatty person i suppose. but i really like hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] kookie21 because she is so nice and lovely. and cute.

had a quiet journey home, then went to Ben's to see his friend Matt who was down from up north. there i rounded off the megalardful day with CHEESE&GARLIC NAN and sag bhaji. mmmm. and some Fosters and a bottle of Cobra. then we watched Jackie Chan in Operation Condor 2: The Armour Of Gods. (not to be confused with its sequel - Armour Of God II: Operation Condor - how confusing??!!). but wah it was dubbed and it pained me. oh it did. then i went home to bed.

what a splendid weekend!

last night i dreamt i met [livejournal.com profile] kimkali, [livejournal.com profile] lisybabe and randomly [livejournal.com profile] hysteria74. they were standing in a line at the top of some steps in a somewhat Greek styled building. they were also wearing robes. and looked kind of goddesslike. i think then i had to pick one, in a Paris choosing from Hera, Athene and Aphrodite type way. but i woke up before making a decision. although i am sure Kim tried to bribe me with sex. she is clearly Aphrodite. i guess [livejournal.com profile] lisybabe would be Athene, who was and is still my fave Greek goddess. i don't know [livejournal.com profile] hysteria74 at all (although i'm positive it was her) but i always found Hera to be snooty and annoying.
