the puzzle piece behind the couch

today i went to Grenoble with Mum and Dad and man it was hot. we went in the cool spherical cable car up the mountain but it was very hazy and we couldn't see Mont Blanc. but it was a very pretty view.

then i wandered off on my own and spent a lot of time getting lost. i found what had looked like a cool tower from the cable car but it turned out to be a lame falling down tower with access roped off. pah. i bought a present for Jus in the chinese shop. and some spanky postcards. (one of which lovely neonnina received - they had pieces cut out! very fun.) at one point i had to give in and go in an air conditioned shop to escape the heat, but it was a toy shop! i also bought a spanky new vest. it's black with a white bunny on and says 'follow me' on it. cool. v cheap too. only €2.90 i think.

wandered and got lost more and eventually found my way to the train station. we got the train home but that was an error as it was sweltering. i'm sure it exceed 100F! after going home for a shower we all went out for a meal at La Corne De Brume (The Foghorn) which is a very snazzy restaurant. i had the menu de €8 which gave me a cup of cider, a galette (savoury pancake) with tomato and leek, green salad and a sweet pancake with sugar. yummmmmmmmmy.

then we went home and i packed. i was amused because the elevator in H's building was made by Schindler so it was called Schindler's Lift. ho ho.

oh yeah, there's a fab supermarket called Monoprix which we went to a lot and it has instore radio and i had the 'radio monop' jingle in my head a lot. H's housemates are all too skinny. especially Elsa. Magali was slightly better but man french girls are thin.
