the puzzle piece behind the couch

after work yesterday Jo and i got icecreams, the swirly kind with sauce all rippled through - i had blue candy cos it's clearly the coolest. while we were at the icecream stall someone said my name (my whole name) and i turned around and it was Kate Oliver. i haven't seen her for over 5 years! we chatted a bit and it turned out we'd both been to the same part of Japan last year! and then i had to go cos Jo had already got her icecream and was waiting. but it was nice to see Kate.

i did get to speak to mirabehn last night, but our conversation was cut short by a pancake. i think it was evil_nick trying to be evil again. *glares* but yay - they're coming to stay 16-18th may. hooray.

last night i dreamt i was back at school with Caroline and Lucie at some fete thing. then i was at uni. it was my first day but i'd forgotten to pick up my room key and now it was too late. i went into a building i thought was mine, and saw Rosy and realised i was supposed to be in another building. so i went across the street and ended up in Dan & Gavin's flat, in Gavin's bed - naked!!! which was a little odd. also i had a hamster and was having to take it somwhere.

kookie21 sent me Elijah posters and a yummmmmmy pic of Clea from when she was in The Faculty. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. thank you honey!

also i forgot to mention that yesterday when we were having lunch Janet was telling us a lemon tart recipe and some woman came over and said: "i couldn't help overhearing - can i ask about your tart?" which made me giggle.

i'm talking to Elly now! big yay to that. she's the greatest.

oooh ooh and i had to add queennell, not just cos she lives in Brum, but because she said (and i quote): Hot like a Calico LotRPS - and hot dammit, that's a very apt phase and i do approve. mmmyes. *ponders* now should I add ukcalico too? hmmmm. have been spying on her journal eagerly awaiting new lotrips. ah what the heck, i'll add her too.

this is terrible! oh the pain!

Last Goodbye - i adore the song. it's in my top three favourite songs EVER.

so combined they should be lovely.

but good god - Natalie covering it live - oh, it sounds like she's drunk or in pain or possibly both! WAH! poor Jeff! oh oh. i must go and listen to the real version before i am scarred for life. lovely lovely Jeff's proper version that i love to bits. must do that RIGHT NOW.

(then drool over Virginia...)
