i had THE MOST fun last weekend! oh yes i did! and now i shall share, but first i want to tell everyone of my amusement when i found in a town near where i live there is a street called: leg of mutton road! ahahahahahah! how silly is that!
Friday
left work early and got a very nice on time train to
mirabehn and
evil_nick's house. well not right to their house, they did have to pick me up and there was much eeeing and hugging and perkiness.
after a bit more eeeeeing we settled down to play a huge game of slap. crossover lotr & buffy slap too! highly fun. and Elly made us yummy curry for dinner. we watched the start of Henry IV with scary Rufus Sewell and spiffy Ronald Pickup (who was in a tv thing with yummy Greg Wise once that i rather liked) and a tasty looking woman (imdb fails me - arggh) and Jane Horrocks. this made me feel cultured as i was learning about history.
hmmm, what did we do then? had some freshly baked vegan bread and went to bed i think.
Saturday
i did some washing up. yay. and we all got clean and went to Newbury to get free things and taste things. i'm not sure what the official title was but we went to a kind of open day of a health food shop and affiliated places. we tasted many organic and fairtrade things - tea, chocolate, seeds, juices, fruit, sweets, flapjacks (not many vegan ones for me sadly), cordials, pressés, oils and soya desserts! yummmmmmy! and got free samples of lots of the above and handcream, toothpaste, exfoliant, soap etc. i bought some elderflower cordial for Mum's birthday, and some moroccan mint tea for me.
then we all had Indian Head Massage, which was soooooooooooooooo nice, and bargainously £5 for 15 minutes of bliss. mmmm. then went to a nice shop called Sunflower where Elly and i browsed while Nick rescued an old computer that someone had dumped. (bless him, i was amused by his great excitement at this for many hours after.) Elly tried on a very nice chinese style red satin embroidered dress that made her look highly minxy indeed.
by this time it was 3pm and we were hungry, but The Swan's chef was off, so we had to go home for emergency fried potatoes with thyme, which Elly cooked, and very nice and thymey it was too. we finished watching Henry IV and rearranged the spice rack to make it all pretty and organised.
while Elly and Nick were making stir fry for dinner i made vegan biscuit mixture. we watched a Buffy ep 'Family' and there was much Tara drooling. it took me a long time to finish my dinner due to Tara distraction. then we cut out the biscuits. we all made one of ourselves and:
Kathryn: Éowyn, Virginia, a hedgehog, an elephant (for Elly) and some hearts
Nick: an alarm clock, a shark, a banana
Elly: Tara, Spike, a catpig
they came out surprisingly well, except for Virginia's feet and Nick's hand, which got a bit well done. also in the transfer from the tray to the cooling rack i carelessly threw Spike on the floor and he was completely dismembered so we had to eat his limbs and body and head all separately. also one of Elly's arm's fell of, and so did one of Nick's legs. someone was having fireworks but as soon as we went outside to watch they stopped - how rude!
we then played slap and old maid and other fun games til way past a sensible bedtime. hehe.
Sunday
we were all too floopy to go anywhere so we stayed in and iced the biscuits. Elly took a photo. Elly made yummy yummy Briami for dinner, and then we had vegan(!) strudel. Elly and I played an enormous game of top trumps picture pairs while Nick watched the Grand Prix. we played a bit more slap and ate our biscuits. i swapped my Éowyn for Elly's Tara and took her with me to eat on the train. yum. then we watched some Eddie Izzard before it was time to take me to the station. *sniffs* waaaaaaaaaaaah. i didn't want to go home.

back at home i ate falafels and spoke to
koozwaa and watched 24 and Alex called.
if Elly and Nick get really rich i am going to demand they employ me as their housekeeper. i miss them already...
